Cavs win 3 in a row

Monday, November 26th, 2007

Sorry for the delay and lack of updates…thank the holiday for that.

Anyway, The Cavs have won 6 of their last 10, and 3 in a row.  LeBron James had his 3rd and 4th triple-double games.  Giving him a total of 14 for his career. AND James was named today as the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, November 19 through Sunday, November 25.  Now that is cool.  This is the 11th time he has won this award.

I hope this all carries over into the end of the season.  It would be nice to see The King get the MVP award.

Tough 1 pt loss to Magic

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

LeBron James was the “Man” again.  He scored his second triple-double of the season, 39 points, 14 assists, and 13 rebounds.  AND it was LeBron James Bobblehead giveaway night.  What could he was for more?

Well, a win.

The Magic beat the Cavs 117-116 in OT.  It was a tough loss.  To play so hard and to lose so close would break the souls of most players, but most players aren’t “The King”

James and the Cavs have played well, even though they dropped a few close games.  They just need to finish stronger.  They are losing the close games in the final 30 seconds.

Bobblehead Night is tomorrow

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

The fifth installment of the LeBron James Bobblehead presented by KeyBank will be the giveaway at the Cavs vs. Magic game on Wed. This season the bobblehead features James wearing the Eastern Conference Champion post-game t-shirt and hat.

A LeBron bobblehead is ALWAYS a hot item to get.  Making this a very sot after collector’s prize.  I’m still waiting on my call or email from LeBron telling me how he is getting me mine.  For you, you will have to go to the Q and get 1 and ENJOY the game.  Something I can’t do from Miami, FL.

Heartbreaker to the Jazz

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

The Cavs need everything right, except defend in the final seconds last night against the Jazz.  The Cavs came up on the losing end of a tight game, 103-101.  The Cav’s main man, Lebron James had a triple-double.  His 11th in his young career.

James scored 32 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. He also had 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.  Can’t ask for more than that.  A win would be nice, but James can’t do it all.  Overall, it was a great game, except, of course the final 5 seconds. What hurt the Cavs was playing catch up most of the game.  Their tanks were empty.  They fell apart in the final 5 seconds.  James hit a 3 pointer tying the game. But the Cavs let Deron Williams get the inbound pass and go coast-to-coast with a game winning layup.  A LAYUP.  With 1.3 seconds left.  Williams should have ever been able to get that close.  The defense should have forced him to pass or take a long shot.  But a layup?

Well, the Cavs are off today.  Next up are the Kings, Fri. night.

Bobblehead giveaway aweek away

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

Hey fans, next Wed. night is the big LeBron James Eastern Conference Championship Bobblehead giveaway presented by KeyBank. Sure the Cavs are playing the Magic and are looking to continue their win streak, but come on, this is the 1st time the Cavs can say Eastern Conference Championship on anything. And to put it on the King is the right move.

I still haven’t heard from Lebron about getting my bobblehead, SO, if their are any fans out there that are going to game and want to help out a displaced fan, let me know.

Oh, by the way, enjoy the game. GO CAVS.

James almost gets triple-double in win

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

LeBron James scored 24 points, had 14 rebounds and 9 assists in the Cavs win over the Warriors, 108-104. This game had LOTS of offense.

The lead changed back and forth all night, but with 36 seconds left, Daniel Gibson sank a 3 pointer putting the Cavs in front and to stay in front. The 3 pointer was Gibson’s 5th 3 pointer on the night. 5 of 7 from 3 point land.

Now the Cavs need to get a winning streak going. Maybe 8, 10 or 20 in a row.

Next up, Wed vs the Jazz.

Ouch…that burns

Monday, November 5th, 2007

What a heartbreak.  The Cavs jumped out to a 7 point lead after the half, but couldn’t stop the Suns.  The final, 103-92.  The Cavs are now, 1-2, in this young season.

LeBron James had a goodnight,  27 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and a pair of steals. But it just wasn’t enough to stop the Suns.  The Suns hung in there and were able shut the Cavs down.  The Cavs also couldn’t stop 2-time MVP Steve Nash.  Nash added 30 points and 10 assists.

One highlight from the game, James moved into 5th place in franchise history with 8.505 points.  It took James 319 games to do it.  It bumped Hot Rod Williams from 5th to 6th.  Williams needed 661 games to score as many points.

Next up: Tues. vs The Warriors.

Bobblehead Wed Nite

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

Hey fans, just making sure you are aware of it, but this Wed night when the Cavs host the Magic, they will be giving out a LeBron James Eastern Conference Championship Bobblehead presented by KeyBank.  The picture of this is very cool.

Must have for any bobblehead collector.

On a personal note, I know LeBron reads this blog, or at least I tell myself that.  LeBron, if you get a chance, an autographed boobblehead would make my week.  Just let me know.  I can pick it up when we play a little 1 on 1 @ the Q.

1st Win of the season

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

OK, now that is the way the Cavs really play.  The Cavs beat the Knicks last night, 110-106.  MUCH better than the way they played against the Mavs Wed. night, 92-74.

LeBron James also played MUCH better.  Against the Mavs he had 10 points for the game.  0 in the 1st half.  Last night he had 45 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and a blocked shot.  That is why he is the King. The Cavs as a team played better.  This is the way they played at the end of last season.  They just need to forget about their 1st game and play the rest of the season like they played last night.

Next up, Sun. 8pm vs the Suns.

Opening Game a Bust

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Continuing how they left off from last year, going 0-4 in the Finals, the Cavs started their season with a less than impressive start. The Mavs beat the Cavs 92-74 before a sellout crowd in Cleveland. The biggest disappointment of the night was LeBron James.

James was 0-3, 3 fouls and 0 points going into halftime. NOT good by any standard. Let me put it this way. I, while watching the game from home, actually did better than James in the 1st half. I was 0-0, 0 points, BUT 0 fouls. I wasn’t even playing and I was doing better than the King. Final stats for the night. James-10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 fouls. Me- 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 fouls.

I’m sure I won’t be saying that again. All kidding aside, every Superstar has their bad games, and this was James’ bad game. Any Cavs fans, or any fan of the NBA, knows that he’ll rebound and bounce back in the next game, Fri vs the Knicks in Cleveland.
